Research Groups

Combined, our faculty members receive over a million dollars in research grants from federal, provincial and industrial sources. We have over 1000 undergraduate students and over 600 graduate students studying in our department. Find out more about our research groups.

Research Centre

In 1988, Concordia University established the Centre for Pattern Recognition and Machine Intelligence (CENPARMI) as an international research centre within the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science. Pattern recognition and machine intelligence (PARMI) has been a very active field in the past 20 years; techniques have been used to recognize characters, time-varying signals, voice, satellite pictures, objects, fingerprints, and weather patterns, in many scientific, business, and military applications. Theses

Over the past five years alone, the department has graduated about 1000 students at the Bachelors level, 500 students at Masters level and over 30 PhDs. View the theses of recent graduates.
